About Comfort Solution - Specialty HVAC Distribution
 

Comfort Solution, Inc. is owned by Greg Talley. Greg started in the HVAC distribution side of the business in Lubbock, Texas. “In 1975 there was no flexduct or high efficiency equipment. Contractors were installing new systems in homes that did not have cooling systems. Back then, it was called ‘refrigerated air’ and folks were just excited to maintain a comfortable setpoint in their home for the first time.” After 6 total years in wholesale HVAC distribution, Greg also attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Texas. He graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration.

He was immediately drafted into the contracting side of the business and moved to Arlington, Texas. After 17 years as estimator and sales person in the contracting business, Greg was asked to represent a line of zoning and controls products throughout the state of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Louisiana. “Traveling and visiting with contractors is what I enjoy most about our business. We discuss how we can help the contractor make more money with less headaches”. In 2003 Greg helped found XCI Controls. This product was designed with lots of contractor input and has become a very widely used zoning system in residential and light commercial applications.

 
Comfort Solution specializes in only a few products that we can offer and service well…
We started with three goals in mind…
1. Our products must be reliable. Over the years, contractors were told that products were reliable, but we learned the hard way that thorough testing is not always completed before products find their way into the market. Distributors must realize reliability is first and products should not be assumed reliable bythe contractor.
 
2. Our service must be exceptional. Contractors should dial the phone and get their questions answered by people that are thoroughly experienced with the product and can work through the issues, whether it has to do with contractor training or product malfunction. We must furnish the contractor quality answers and solutions so that he can finish and move on to his next call. His customer demands that he be completely knowledgeable on any product that he recommends and installs. They will give him a relatively short amount of time to eliminate product issues and we must accept the responsibility of being his main support.
 
3. Competitive price is third. If the product has a reliable reputation, and if the contractor knows he can trust us to support his efforts with training and outstanding technical support, next he needs a competitive price that allows him to compete with confidence. His confidence will serve him well, knowing he can provide referral list of satisfied consumers. He knows that “value is worth paying for and cheap is not always cheap.”
...Our job is to help the contractor finish installations the ‘first time’ and make a good profit when using our products.
 
As we build our business, contractors will see us hire experienced, humble, service minded people that are not too good to get in the attic or under the house to support the contractor. We will always answer the phone in the evening or on Saturday because the contractor deserves to have his vital questions answered when he is on the firing line.
